| | The rooftop of the new home of Madison Museum of Contemporary Art was designed to provide a suitable space for exhibitions of larger-scale, outdoor sculpture and to host a variety of events. The adjacent museum Café opens directly onto the space which is used for outdoor seating, movie exhibitions and receptions.
Areas of lawn set within a woven pattern of pavers transition into sloped planters clad in aluminum. Wire green-grids provide support for vines growing up the rear wall of the space while a mix of seasonal planting, perennials and grasses provide year round interest.
