| | This project is a mixed-use program on a 3-acre site bounded by a retail corridor, an interstate highway, the Mill River and public park land, and a residential neighborhood. Industrial from its initial development in the mid-1800s, the site currently characterized by existing buildings in varying condition, general under-utilization, need of environmental remediation, adjacency to a sought-after residential neighborhood and to downtown, and great potential to ‘connect’ to the city’s vision of public park network.
The final programmatic design mix included: • 112,000 sf of mixed-income rental units • 31,000 sf of artists' lofts & live/work lofts • 11,000 sf of retail space • 6,800 sf of restaurant space • 190 parking space |
